How Pearson stays winter ready

During this past holiday season alone, roughly 2.8 million people travelled through Pearson on their way to connect with family and friends—or to warmer weather.

At the airport, we’re good at keeping things cozy. We’ve got free Wi-Fi to make sure our passengers are always connected, and during the winter, our retailers sell a whopping one million cups of coffee per month. 

And when harsh weather hits outdoors, Pearson’s team is ready to go. Whether clearing snow from a 4.2 million square metre area consisting of runways, taxiways and gate areas or deicing a dozen planes at once at the world’s most technologically advanced deicing facility, we have the tools and teams to keep passengers safe and flights on time.
